Eldership
Elders are voted on and appointed by the members based on the recommendation of the current eldership and the formal nomination from the Nominating Committee. Each elder is expected to be a member in good standing and meet the criteria set out in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. Pastors, upon accepting a call from the membership, are automatically recognised as elders of the church. Together, the elders and deacons form the leadership team which oversees the daily operations of the church on behalf of the membership.
Ian Walton
Senior Pastor
Ian has been faithfully pastoring for several decades now, shepherding our Church for nearly a decade! Ian believes strongly in the authority of scripture, in loving and welcoming others, and giving his heart to the Lord. Ian takes great care to seek the Lord for wisdom in how to be a good shepherd to our church, which has been greatly appreciated by our church.
Tim Hicks
Associate Pastor
Tim has a strong background as both a teacher and a student. He and his lovely wife live on Magnetic Island. Tim has experience as a Secondary School Teacher, as well as many years spent in theological studies. He is passionate about discipleship and loves diving into scripture.
David Brownlie

David has an incredible heart for those who are in need. A soft-spoken and laid-back farmer from out west, who is more than willing and able to roll up his sleeves and work hard at whatever needs to be done. David heads up Pastoral Care at our Church, along with a team of many others, he reaches out to the hurting and struggling to help them through the trials of this life.
Jim Day
Elder
Jim is one of the most prayerful and careful people in our Church, bringing everything before God as soon as he can, even in the middle of a conversation. Jim heads up our Church’s prayer ministry, his heart for God is clear, as is his heart for God’s people.
Joel Wight
Elder
Joel keeps things straight to the point, be it in his powerpointless sermons or in leadership meetings. He is a caring man with a strong sense of doing right in the sight of the Lord.
Phillip Wilcox
Elder
Phil was one of the founding members of our Church, taking up the mantle of leading the Music Team. He has a strong heart to glorify God in all that we as a Church do, especially focusing on our Worship.
